News - November 2009

NOVEMBER NEWS:

“New Love, New Mercy!”
November is a month dedicated to our Discovering the Meaning of Stewardship in our Life.

Since we believe that “the earth is the Lord’s and all that is in it,” (Psalm 24:1), giving in return to God is a supreme act of thanksgiving, a profound source of joy, and a most satisfying way to participate in God’s activity upon our earth and in the lives of the people who live upon it like ourselves.

In the days ahead, we will share the testimony of committed stewards, hear about the impact of our mission and ministry, and receive the information and material we need to indicate our 2010 Estimate of Giving in gratitude for the blessings of God.  Our offerings and gifts through the year are also the indispensable support needed for the mission of God’s Church in this place.

Sunday, November 15th, will be our Stewardship Dedication Sunday.  Please plan to make that a special day of worship attendance presenting your commitment to God of your stewardship for 2010!

We have good giving habits as a congregation because we know to Whom we belong - the God in Whom we truly trust, as we love and obey Him in all parts of our lives. This is a joyous time for we who have learned to give.

OCTOBER NEWS:

OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD:
Operation Christmas Child, a project of Samaritan’s Purse, has been delivering shoe box gifts since 1993. More than 61 million have been delivered to boys and girls in some 130 nations. The President of Samaritan’s Purse, Franklin Graham says, “Through our evangelistic materials and follow-up discipleship program, millions of children and family members have heard the Gospel for the first time and many have made life-changing decisions for Jesus Christ.”

Through past personal experience with this ministry, I would say that the lives of those who participate are enriched and blessed by being a part of it also.

The Circle of Friends would like to invite everyone in the church to become a part of this ministry and be blessed as well. Kick-off Sunday will be October 11. For More Information Click Here.
