USHERS:  
This is a monthly job, twice a year, for “full time” ushers. There are substitute positions also that are on an as needed basis. Ushers greet worshipers, pass out bulletins, pass out fellowship registers, take up offering, and in general assist worshipers. Usher teams have five members, with one position as a youth usher. 

SHELTER FOOD:
Lafayette provides food each month for the Homeless Shelter. We have two teams of eight that rotate months. You end up providing food five times a year, every other month. We do not provide food in November and December. You can also serve as a substitute on an as needed basis. 

TRANSPORTATION:
We have several members living at Westminster Oaks and Cherry Laurel retirement facilities. Some of the members attend regularly, but do not drive. You can volunteer to pick up and return members home or you can transport one way. 

COMMITTEE WORK:
The Committees of Lafayette are Christian Education, Finance, Membership, Mission, Property, Stewardship and Worship. All of the committees would love to have new members. Our annual report gives a good overview of what each committee is responsible for or you can request further information.
